We have created a detailed itinerary for your 5 night 6 days trip to Xi’an, China, that will take you on a journey through this fascinating city.Day 1: Arrival in Xi’anAfter arriving in Xi’an, you will be met at the airport by a guide who will transfer you to your hotel. You can relax and settle in as you adapt to the new city. In the evening, the guide will take you for dinner at a local restaurant to try authentic Chinese cuisine.Day 2: Exploring the Terracotta Army

On the second day, visit one of the most incredible archaeological discoveries in modern times – the Terracotta Army. It is the world’s largest underground army, with thousands of soldiers, horses, and chariots that were created to safeguard China’s first emperor Qin Shi Huang in the afterlife. In the afternoon, visit the Banpo Museum to see the remains of the Neolithic tribes who lived in the area over 6,000 years ago.Day 3: City Wall, Great Mosque, and Muslim QuarterStart the day exploring Xi’an’s most impressive landmark, the Ming dynasty city wall. The ancient city of Xi’an was protected by 14 kilometers of walls, moats, and watchtowers. Rent a bike and cycle the wall or walk if you prefer. After this, go to the Great Mosque, one of the most fascinating religious sites in China, which was built in a mixture of Chinese and Islamic architecture. Lastly, visit the Muslim Quarter to indulge in Xi’an’s most authentic food scene.Day 4: Shaanxi History Museum and Big Wild Goose Pagoda The Shaanxi History Museum is a must-visit, showcasing China’s incredible history through thousands of ancient relics dating back to the Neolithic period. After visiting the museum, head to the Buddhist temple, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, where you can climb to the top and enjoy the beautiful panoramic views.

Day 5: Huaqing Palace and Hot Springs, Mt. HuashanThe final full day of the trip can be split into two parts. First, explore the beautiful Huaqing Palace, which was once a hot spring bathhouse for the Emperor Xuanzong of Tang. Afterwards, relax in the hot springs nearby, and immerse yourself in traditional Chinese spa culture. After a hearty lunch, take a bus to Mount Huashan, one of the most dangerous mountains in China, and hike along the scenic paths to experience the beautiful scenery of the mountain ranges.Day 6: DepartureThe final day is free for you to shop or relax.
