After a brief rest, we start our journey through the iconic Kuanzhai Alley, where we experience Chengdu’s traditional lifestyle. This area consists of three alleys and two streets, filled with old-fashioned architecture, and features local street vendors selling Sichuanese delicacies. The alleyways come to life at night, with bright neon lights, street music, and performances.Day 2: City Tour

We start our day with breakfast at our hotel before taking the bus to Chengdu’s most famous attraction, the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base. Here, we learn about China’s black and white treasures, the pandas, and admire their adorable antics. After that, we explore Jinsha Site Museum, where you can see the excavation site that revealed the history of the ancient Shu Kingdom. In the evening, we end our day by watching the Sichuan Opera, famous for its unique ‘face-changing’ performances.Day 3: Mount QingchengOn our third day, we explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mount Qingcheng. This mountain is famous for Taoism culture and holds the most important Taoist shrine in China. We hike to the summit and experience breath-taking views. If you’re not up for a challenging hike, you can opt for a cable car ride to enjoy the stunning sceneries. In the evening, we head to the famous Hot Pot district to enjoy Chengdu’s notorious fiery cuisine.Day 4: Leshan Giant BuddhaDay four is all about history and heritage. We visit the Leshan Giant Buddha, which is the most significant stone Buddha statue in the world. Carved into the cliff face, the statue is over 233 feet tall and offers picture-perfect views of the surrounding area. We spend the day exploring the site and learning more about the Sichuan history.

Day 5: Tea Ceremony and Thai-style SiheyuanOn our fifth day in Chengdu, we experience the beauty of tea culture through a tea ceremony at Wenshu Monastery. We learn about this ancient Chinese tradition and taste various types of tea. Afterward, we make a stop at the Thai-style Siheyuan, a unique cultural compound filled with stunning architectural visuals. We also get to enjoy and explore different Thai galleries filled with unique artworks.Day 6: DepartureOn the last day of our trip, we enjoy some leisurely time in the morning to shop for local souvenirs at Chunxi Road.
