Akagera National Park is home to a variety of wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions, and baboons. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.Day 3: Game DrivesToday, we’ll explore the park’s varying landscapes on game drives, in both the early morning and afternoon. We’ll visit the wildlife-rich Nyungwe Forest National Park, the Ramsar Site Nyabarongo Wetlands, and the rolling grassland plains in search of the parks’ animals. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.Day 4: Boat Ride & Village VisitAfter breakfast, we’ll embark on a boat ride on Lake Ihema. A boat ride on this picturesque lake offers a different viewing perspective, and a chance to observe a number of aquatic species, including hippos and crocodiles. After lunch, we’ll head out for a village tour, where you can get a deeper insight into the local culture, people, and way of life. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 5: Walking safari & Bush breakfastExperience the wildlife’s ecosystems by foot during a walking safari, as we visit different areas of the park. Walking safaris are strictly guided to ensure visitors’ safety and an intimate, close-up experience with nature. Later, enjoy a bush breakfast, which is a unique, enjoyable, and memorable experience as you break bread in the wilderness. In the evening, enjoy a sun-downer after a game drive, with views of the park’s rolling hills and wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.Day 6: DepartureAfter breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer back to Kigali for your onward journey.
